10 Thanksgiving Scriptures With Prayers

We spent the last few weeks on thankful hearts and giving thanks for our spiritual blessings in Christ. But since I enjoy praying specific Bible verses, I’m sharing some of my favorite thanksgiving scriptures with prayers for each.

Because sometimes we need reminding to say,

“Thank you, God.”

Thanksgiving Scriptures: Give Thanks

(1.) “Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!” Psalm 100:4 (ESV)

Prayer: Lord, I bless your holy name. You are matchless and deserve all the glory arnd honor due your name. I praise you, Lord, with thanksgiving for who you are, my God, and for all your wonderful attributes. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

(2.) “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.” Psalm 136:1 (ESV)

Prayer: Father, thank you for your goodness to me. You’re a good, good Father. Thank you for your love toward me that lasts forever! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

(4.) “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7 (ESV)

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Son to die for me. I never want to get over your saving grace and the redeeming blood of Jesus. Thank you for spiritual growth in Christ and help me to keep walking in you by faith all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer: Lord, I’m thankful you fill me with the Holy Spirit. Let your Spirit fall fresh on me. As I read your Word and worship you, grow in me a grateful heart and help me express my thankfulness to my brothers and sisters in Christ. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
