hope

There’s something I want you to know. You are never far from hope.

In tragedy, it is there. During dark moments, it covers with light. It soars above despair.

Life brings hurt, heartache, and disappointment.

Hard places can dissolve every ounce of faith. But in an uncertain world, there is an undeniable hope, an unshakable anchor for your soul.

When I served as a pastor’s wife for eighteen years, I helped others find hope. It birthed from answering the tough questions.

Where is God? Did we pray enough? Does God know? Does He see?

This blog community, Hope is Among Us, has a fresh perspective on hope from biblical truths. As the unexplainable happens in life, there is a promise that brings hope near. It’s only found in One. Jesus.

The Backstory

Everyone has a story to tell. I questioned two things as a child:

Is God real?

Am I lovable?

Paul Curtis says:

Dear Karen, I decided to take a few minutes to look at your website – just because. What I have found here is the presence of Jesus Christ, something I have never experienced before. It shows in the smile and expression you carry with you; the expression of someone who is certain of where they will spend eternity. It is unmistakable to those who recognize it. I find it in the creativity of your writings. You have so much to offer and you give from your heart, everything you have. I will remember to pray for your ministry that it will thrive and reach souls. Romans 8:28

Karen says:

Hi Paul, your words here so blessed me. In fact, they brought joyful tears confirming the Lord’s calling on my life. My ministry mission statement is “Knowing Jesus more and making Him known.” I pray to never veer away from that, but walk the path in front of me as I follow Jesus with full abandon and surrender. I also pray over you, that the Lord uses you where He has placed you, shining God’s light for anyone walking in the darkness. God bless.

ED Pilar says:

Thank you for your words that helps me comfirm that the Lord is real and God is a vital part of my life. I have Cancer and have PTSD Depression. There is reason these things have been a part of my life. It is a part of the Lord’s plan and has sent me in a new direction in life. A positive relationship with God and the Lord. Others who are dealling with the same have become a positive interaction and support. I rad your words posted online and the encouragement is wonderfull. Just a short note to say thank you. You are a Blessing and God Bless you.

Karen says:

Sorry to hear about your cancer and PTSD Depression, Ed. I will certainly keep you in my prayers and add your name and this note to my prayer journal. God bless you! Although some deny His deity and refuse to bow to His Lordship, God is on His throne and He is love.

Only a loving Creator would leave the splendor of heaven to die for me. And you!
