How to Manifest Moments of Heaven on Earth
Heaven on earth? Really, Karen?
Is there even such a thing? Why, yes. Yes, there is!
Yet, I’m not talking about things or situations we attribute to the phrase, “It was heaven on earth.” Such as food, trips, or any experience we feel was heaven-like.
We are so limited in what we imagine for heaven. It’s much bigger and carries more awe than we realize.
A New Heaven and Earth
But the new heaven and earth will one day replace this fallen world we live in.
Look at how it’s all described in Revelation 21:
“Then I saw ‘a new heaven and a new earth,’ for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’ He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true’” (Verses 1-5, NIV).
How wonderful this is what we have to look forward to. Still, in the present, there are moments of heaven touching earth and touching our lives.
Here are some ways to manifest it.
Moments of Heaven on Earth
1) Look up. We may never know what God desires to rain down from heaven unless we remain aware, looking for it. And looking for Jesus.
2) Stay engaged in prayer. Who knows what is waiting behind the veil of heaven ready to pour over us until we ask. And ask on a regular basis.
Heavenly Father, oh how I need an outpouring from heaven in this situation, today, this hour, this moment in time. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
3) Be present in the present. Show up in our loved one’s lives both physically and emotionally. Show up at church, work, ministry, and with our neighbors and friends. We carry a piece of heaven’s real estate, sealed by the Holy Spirit, as a promise of new life.
4) Act as Jesus with skin. A sure-fire way to see glimpses of heaven? Model Christ to our family and friends; to the downcast, wayward—anyone without hope.

Want to bring the hope of heaven, Jesus Christ, to this world? Grab ahold of true hope, the anchor for our souls. Living in such a manner that others ask where to find it. And then lead them to the cross and an empty tomb and a risen Savior.
Want to see the mercy of heaven displayed in living color? Access God’s mercies, new every morning, and then dispense mercy to others without limitation or hesitation.
Want to encounter the goodness of heaven as we dwell on this earth? Allow the Spirit to lead us, crucifying our flesh. The Spirit grows the fruit of goodness in us, pointing others to a good Father in heaven (See Galatians 5:16-24).
Want heaven’s love-factor brought down to our daily lives? Walk in God’s ways and His love. Refresh our minds with the unconditional love of 1 Corinthians 13. Since we love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).
Acts of real love for our fellow man is one of the greatest manifestations of heaven on earth. #love #heaven Share on XWe are already citizens of heaven. So why not intentionally bring moments of heaven to earth.

Amen. Walk in God’s ways and show His love to everyone. Great message Karen.
Thanks, Melissa. A sure-fire way to see glimpses of heaven? Model Christ to our family and friends; to the downcast, wayward—anyone without hope.
Excellent post! I love the suggestions to be present in the present and to abide in God’s presence. Centering myself in the Lord is key.
Thanks, Jessica. Present day distractions often keep us from being present in the present-especially with all the devices.
A great reminder that we are Ambassadors for Christ. Our lives reveal His impact on us and His presence in us. This was an encouraging reminder after an awful few days. Thank you, Karen!
Melinda, It’s been a while since I’ve heard the term, Ambassadors for Christ. Thanks for reminding me of this. Because when we think of all ambassadors do and are in representing something or someone, it puts this whole thought process into the big picture.
Love it! Where and when? I think it really depends on the where and when I connect with God. Whether that’s sharing testimony or fellowship with another person or me and “Bubba” sitting under the pines talking with God. Heaven shows up whenever I invite Him into, or through, my life. Another great post Ms. Karen.
This is great, “Heaven shows up whenever I invite Him into, or through, my life.” Amen to that!
Great message, Karen. What you outline here is how we can shine light into the lives of others. Thanks and God bless!
Agree on shining the light to point others to Jesus Christ! Blessings, Nancy.
God most definitely wants to bring heaven to earth, using our love for one another and our commitment to Jesus to light the way for others. May every day be lived to His honor and glory!
Blessings, Karen!
Martha, liked how you said, “using our love for one another and our commitment to Jesus to light the way for others.” Amen! God bless!
Even in the midst of the worldly turmoil, we can have a time of heaven on earth and we can share it with those all around us. Great message Karen.
Yes! Both worship and God’s Word instill in us the riches of heaven.
We do miss a lot of those moments when our focus shifts from Jesus to ourselves or other situations.
So true, Rebecca. I pray to bring pieces of heaven to earth through love, hope, mercy and goodness.
Once we recieve Christ, we are already a citizen of Heaven.
Absolutely, Barb! Hallelujah! We are already citizens of heaven. So why not intentionally bring moments of heaven to earth.
Love this:
We are a walking billboard, “The same God who reigns in heaven, lives and reigns in me.”
How my days would be radically different if I’m intentional about remembering this!
We all need to remember this, Ava. We are carrying the Holy Spirit, so a piece of real estate from heaven.
This is so encouraging, Karen. Eternity starts the minute we say “yes” to Jesus and I, for one, need to start acting like it.
What a great thought, Lauren. Thanks for your comment. God insight!
New mercies each morning…how wonderful is that!
That’s the best! I pray to dispense mercy to others!
Karen, thank you for your beautiful and encouraging message. I love that we are already citizens of heaven!
Deborah, that is such a comforting thought to know we already belong to a heavenly city where we will live one day with Christ!
“”Acts of real love for our fellow man is one of the greatest manifestations of heaven on earth.” May our lives be a conduit of God’s love wherever we go. We can make a difference each day!
Yes, Joanne. Help us Lord be Jesus with skin to manifest moments of heaven on earth now.

Lisa, thanks so much for sharing this blog post on the Grace & Truth linkup. What a blessings. Love moments of heaven on earth!
In a week full of pain and heavy loss, I’m working to look up and to be Jesus’s arms dispensing hugs to hurting students and family members. Outside my comfort zone, but one way to act as Jesus with skin.
I’m so sorry for what you’ve experience with great grief in your school and community.
