Jesus Christ Exists: Never Explained Away
Jesus Christ exists, never explained away.
When we celebrate Christmas, the reason for the season, it reminds me of my faith in Christ.
Even when others deny who Jesus is and why He came to earth, I stand firm in knowing Him as Savior and Lord.
And even when culture continues to commercialize Christmas and only say, “Happy Holidays!”, I know my Jesus is the light of the world.
So let’s look at what the Bible says.
Alpha and Omega
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8 (ESV)
Jesus Christ is the beginning and the end. Part of the triune God, Jesus participated in the creation of the world as seen in the book of Genesis. And Jesus one day returns for the new heaven and earth.
Because Jesus Christ exists.
Jesus Christ Exists: Lord and Savior
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11 (ESV)
“And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.” 1 John 4:14 (ESV)
The birth of Jesus unveiled the Savior to the world. The One promised to rescue us from sin, other gods, the enemy, and even ourselves.

“The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!'” John 1:29 (ESV)
“And he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God!'” John 1:36 (ESV)
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” Revelation 5:12b (ESV)
Jesus as the Lamb of God without spot or blemish became the final sacrifice to bring us into the presence of God, the Holy of Holies. He took our place on the cross.
Jesus Christ Exists: Light of the world
“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'” John 8:12 (ESV)
“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 (ESV)
And Revelation 22:16 describes Jesus as the “bright morning star.” Hallelujah!
God’s Son came to bring the light of heaven to earth. Jesus Christ, the Messiah, was born to die. Even the star announcing the arrival of the Christ-child, Jesus Himself created.

“Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle!
Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah”
Psalm 24: 7-10 (ESV)
The Lord of hosts came that first Christmas night in Bethlehem for all who are willing to welcome His glory into their hearts and lives.
Prayer: Lord, we know You exist. Your beauty and glory light up the world. Your light dispels the darkness. So we swing open wide the gates of our life and the door of our heart for Your grand entrance. The King of glory.
