Jesus Restores What the Enemy Stole

Jesus Restores What the Enemy Stole

Jesus restores everything the enemy took from me.

Every saint and follower of Christ has this same promise of spiritual restoration.

Before I met Jesus, this enemy stripped my identity bare.

Also, he exploited my good name, with my resources at stake.

Robbed. Bamboozled. Deceived.

Jesus Restores Stolen Identity

You see, information security failed, leaving me open to attack. So a crafty thief stole from me.

Taking what belonged to me, he drained me of my inheritance.

And he left me utterly bankrupt and exposed to the most common scam on the planet.

I became a victim of identity theft. Not the kind you hear about in the media. My identity in association with bank accounts and financial credit remained undamaged.

Also, no one robbed me of “who I am” by posing as me online, running up a money debt at my expense. These areas remain secure and not breached.

But a vile enemy sabotaged my identity. The thief who intends to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). And he robbed me of “who I am” by strategic lies in my mind and labels imposed on me by others.

Who is this enemy? Satan. The chief of thieves. And the evil one.

The Enemy Versus God

Satan, a fallen heavenly being who first set his sights on stealing the identity of the greatest being in the universe. Cunningly, he went after God’s name and renown. Because he desired to rise higher than God.

But Satan is not very smart. What a idiotic thought and plot.

No created being or false god can take on God’s identity. The Great One. The Most High. The Lord remains unequaled in name and in who He is. God Almighty is matchless!

Yet through the ages other gods attempted to steal God’s identity. Satan. Baal. Muhammad. Buddha. Zeus. And many others.

Except for Satan, these gods are dead or were never living beings. Yes, others worship them. Still, they remain mute, deaf, motionless, and without life.

But my God is alive and well!

The One True God will never be a victim of identity fraud.

The name of Jesus trumps all names!

The enemy’s day of doom and God’s-going-to-put-you-in-your-place destiny is set. Thrown down once,—kicked out of heaven—he’ll be defeated forever (Revelation 20).

Jesus Restores: Claim, Proclaim, Recover

Jesus Restores What the Enemy Stole

Until then, practice these preventive measures to safeguard yourself against spiritual identity theft.

Claim the power of Christ to overcome.

Jesus always thwarts the enemy’s efforts against us. Several times I’ve received unfriendly and dark comments from satanists here on my blog, they are threatened by my words about Jesus.

Because the light of Jesus upsets the dark world.

Be aware that you have an enemy. But know this. “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 ESV.

Proclaim truth from God’s Word.

The Bible neutralizes untrue words from the enemy. “… and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” John 8:32 ESV.

Because this is not a debate. God’s Holy Word wins hands down! The scriptures provide our information and identity security plan: our image, our worth, and our good name in Jesus Christ.

Take Back What the Enemy Took From You

Recover your secure identity in Jesus.

Jesus’ death on the cross canceled our sin debt and recovered everything the enemy took from us. And Jesus covers us with His redeeming blood.

Don’t let the enemy plunder your spiritual inheritance in Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places” Ephesians 1:3 ESV.

Because the blood of Jesus completed a one time transfer of every spiritual blessing from heaven.

God knows my name. And your name.

If we belong to Christ, our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

So no person, god, or the enemy can rob us of our spiritual inheritance.

What a fantastic analogy, Karen! Yes, if we let him, the father of lies will steal everything from us, deceiving our nature with worldly promises. But as Christians, let us never forget who wins in the end, and turn to Jesus for help and guidance.
Blessings!

Karen says:

Martha, I think you hit on the key, “if we let him.” Since Jesus in us is greater than the enemy, we can walk in freedom from the enemy’s tactics and lies! Hallelujah! God bless.

Susan Davis says:

The devil continually attempts to rob me and steal my joy but thank u for this wonderful reminder of who I am securely in Christ! Hallelujah!

Karen says:

Susan, keep claiming this promise. “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 ESV.

Amen. There is power in Jesus. Have a blessed weekend dear friend.

Soul stirring words! We have a great Savior!

Yvonne Morgan says:

Thank you Karen. Our enemy is on the prowl and working overtime to steal our joy. But God is the answer to these attacks.

Karen says:

Yes, He is, Yvonne. If we belong to Christ, our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

So no person, god, or the enemy can rob us of our spiritual inheritance.

Powerful message, Karen! These Biblical truths about our identity in Christ never get old. Just like the gospel, I need to hear these words again and again and these truths touch my heart over and over. Thank you for this encouragement in Christ! I am who the I AM says I am!

Karen says:

Yes, I take my cue about who I am from the great I AM. Our Christian ID card contains endearing terms: beloved, child of God, saint, in Christ, chosen, loved, forgiven, and set free.
